Shelby Equestrian Centre was started in 2001 by Rachelle Joisce (nee Bolton), at its current location in Ingleside, the family property. Rachelle has been involved with horses since the age of 7, and is passionate about teaching people how to enjoy the animals which have given her so much.
Rachelle has a long history in Pony Club, Riding Club and open competition, and is dedicated to helping people achieve their goals in riding.
Shelby has been responsible for introducing hundreds of people into the horse world. A trip to the local clubs" equestrian events will show a large number of Shelby students, both past and present, participating in the various disciplines.
We specialise in finding suitable mounts for aspiring riders and teaching them to fulfil their responsibilities as horse-owners.
Shelby ran as a riding school until July 2009. It is now a successful agistment centre, as well as being the training ground for some talented riders, and up-and-coming horses. Rachelle is an EA NCAS Level 1 coach, and is available for lessons and clinics.
